Perhaps it is noteworthy to mention. I looked closer because I wondered what crimes had been committed by the gentleman, to earn him a front-page posting.
There was nothing unusual. Just another FBI Most Wanted mug shot of a ‘bad’ boy. But front page? I begin to read the accompanying article and the giggling commenced. Turns out, it is a photo of the newest doctor employed by the local Dental clinic.
I have saved the article and picture as a historical reminder against assumptions. The dangers of thinking it is real because you think it is real. Or it fits comfortably into your personal charter concerning life. Perhaps because it provides justification for the things you do and thoughts you think; that you know are more wrong then right. Or maybe, just maybe, finally, you can believe what the Internet is saying!
I don’t know why his picture seemed more like a mug shot than a compliment? Go figure, local newspaper? But it is proof, first impressions cannot be trusted. They tend to be about the impressable rather than the impresser. Remember that the next time you want to call me fat!
I remain committed to the challenge to think the thoughts of GOD’s heart. To the challenge of letting the mind be in me that is in CHRIST JESUS!
You just don’t worry about the FBI Wanted, bad boy looking dentist sticky his hand in your gaping mouth; when you trust in the water walking, aqua to vino making, agape loving friend that is JESUS!
