I thought of the humor of GOD, but realized it was not a sense of humor that I knew; but rather, the ability of GOD to tailor/customize or individualize relationship with each of us. At the same time, mind you! I am given to a perspective of humor and so many times that’s how the Lord communicates with me.

Some time ago I saw someone I had not seen in a long time. I have sound ‘upbringing’, so I said nothing about their appearance. Instead, I greeted them with genuine pleasure. However, as I walked away from them, I begin to giggle within. For they had grown butterball fat! It was so funny to see.

I was politely amused until the Lord said to me; “Who you laughing at? You’re fat too!”

Okay, then it got dangerous. I thought I would collapse and fall out on the floor; from the belly laughter that screamed to be released from my throat. Because it was true. I had lost sight of my own status while observing and gloating over someone else’s misfortune. “Who you laughing at? You’re fat too!” OMG! That’s too, too funny!

So thankful, so very grateful for a Savior and Friend that reaches me right where I live!
