Playing with purpose

Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me.

Absolute Truth

Is the belief that all truth is relative, an imperial belief? Is that statement of belief the absolute truth?

If it is not an absolute truth, then why should it be given greater consideration than any other declaration regarding truth? Should we accept the concept without its ability to be absolute? If truth is fluid, then so is the notion that truth is fluid.

If this statement of belief is absolute, then doesn’t it fall upon its own blade? If the truth is adaptive to our situations or our desires, doesn’t that mean that sometimes this concept is false because truth is fluid? That’s like saying, today this is true, tomorrow it may not be! Or, you can believe this is the absolute truth until it is a lie.

Truly friends; “all other ground is sinking sand; all other ground is sinking sand.” (Edward Mote, 1834)
